The P180 Avanti I hourly inspection program consists of individual maintenance checks, performed at 200, 600, 1800, and 3600 flight hour intervals, and of other flight hour and calendar scheduled inspections:

200FH inspection is to be completed every 200 Flight Hours, except when B, C, and D inspections occur.  B inspection is to be completed very 600 Flight Hours, except when C and D inspection occurs.  C inspection must be completed every 1800 Flight Hours, except when D inspection occurs.  D inspection is to be completed every 3600 Flight Hours.

Tasks part of the 200FH inspection may be grouped into a single inspection or separated and completed at different inspection events, such as performing the 200 FH engine and propeller inspection tasks at one maintenance visit, then 50 FH later the airframe tasks, Piaggio refers to this as a progressive inspection. These tasks must be tracked to prevent them from flying over 200FH. Once the aircraft reaches the B inspection, the 200FH tasks will be completed along with the 600FH tasks, even if they still have time before coming due again.  These inspections due have a tolerance to ease scheduling.  Tasks due at 200FH and 400FH have a tolerance of +/- 10FH. For B, C, and D inspections, the tolerance is +/- 30FH.  For tasks required at 1200FH, 6000FH, 9000FH, and 12000FH the tolerance is +/- 30FH.

Calendar Inspections are at 1M, 3M, 6M, 1Y, 2Y, 3Y, and 5Y, where M = month and Y = year.  Tolerance for calendar inspection tasks is +/- 10% or +/- 30 days, whichever is less.

The P180 Avanti II hourly inspection interval is similar to the Avanti I, except that the 200FH and 600FH "B" inspection tasks can be completed progressively for scheduling convenience.  The tolerance for 200FH and 600FH "B" inspection tasks are +/- 10%.  Suppose an operator decides not to continue with the progressive maintenance program and returns to the normal maintenance schedule. In that case, it is required to restart it by completing 200 and 600 FH inspections. For maintenance check intervals differ from the 200/600/1800/3600 FH schedule; the ±10% tolerance applies to tasks required at intervals not exceeding 1000 FH, while ±100 FH applies to intervals exceeding 1000 FH.
